            Allegro!, a choir of 32 men and women, has openings for tenors, baritones and basses. Rehearsals are 7:30-9:30 p.m. weekly at the Presbyterian Church in Manasquan.       Cantor to perform
            Wayne Siet, Temple Shaari Emeth's cantor of more than 33 years, will perform in concert April 28 at 8 p.m. at the temple, 400 Craig Road, Manalapan. His voice and passion continues to inspire audiences and the program will include liturgical music and Broadway tunes.

      Children's choir concert includes inspiring stories
            MARLBORO - Monmouth Worship Center will present World Help's Children of the World, an international children's choir made up of 15 orphan children from four countries (Brazil, India, Philippines and Uganda). The choir is traveling across the United States for 10 months.

            The Italian American Association of Monmouth County is offering a scholarship to Monmouth County high school seniors of Italian descent.             Adam Gross, a senior in the Freehold Regional High School District's Special-ized Business Learning Center at Marl-boro High School, has been named a recipient of the Principal's Leadership Award Scholarship, co-sponsored by the National Association of Secondary School Principals and Herff Jones Inc.

      Fishing derby part of outdoor adventure expo
            Get your youngster hooked on fishing when the Monmouth County Park System hosts a Children's Fishing Derby as part of its annual Outdoor Adventure Expo at Turkey Swamp Park, Georgia Road, Freehold. Held from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 20, the derby is sponsored by the Jersey Shore Chapter of Trout Unlimited.

      Brownie troop to hold cookie sale for soldiers
            St. Rose of Lima School's first-grade Brownie Troop No. 1254 will hold a cookie sale April 21 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Wal-Mart on Route 537, Freehold Township. The Scouts are asking customers to support American soldiers by purchasing boxes of cookies to be sent to three soldiers who are in Iraq, two of whom are graduates of St. Rose.
