      Chairman wants RCA program to remain
            I would ask the mayor and Township Council to oppose legislation that would bar municipalities from selling off their affordable housing requirements to other towns. The bill aims to eliminate regional contribution agreements (RCAs). By state law, the RCAs allow a municipality to transfer up to 50 percent of its affordable housing obligation to another municipality.

      Congested intersection in Freehold Twp. needs DOT solution today
            Regarding Walgreens application for a pharmacy at the corner of Route 9 north and East Freehold Road - I have lived within walking distance of this area since 1976 and once East Freehold Road went all the way through, this intersection became a nightmare.

            Responding to Angel Matos' letter to the News Transcript ("Cultural Harmony Would Be Worth Pursu-ing in Freehold," Feb. 28), there is no need for anyone to defend Freehold Bor-ough's code enforcement efforts. They are designed for the safety and well-being of all residents of the town.
