      Forys, Higginson smash MOC meet records
      Goldwasser wins pole vault

            Two of the greatest distance runners in state history left a final, lasting impression on the NJSIAA Indoor Meet of Champions. Colts Neck's unflappable duo of Craig Forys and Ashley Higginson not only defended their 2006 3,200-meter titles, but turned in meet records and the fastest times in the country in the process.

            Duke University senior Debra Vento has qualified for the ECAC/IC4A indoor track and field championships that will be held this weekend in Boston, Mass., by attaining the qualifying standard jump of 5-10. It is also a provisional mark for the NCAAs. Vento is the two-time defending champion this weekend.
