      Council should be careful about placing limits on free speech rights
           I read the article in the News Transcript titled "Residents May Have Chance to Deny Home Solicitation," which tells of a recently introduced ordinance by the Borough of Freehold to create a do-not knock registry.

      Panter deserves credit for trying to protect animals
           Force feeding an animal is cruel and inhumane. The practices in place to produce foie gras is beyond sick. It is immoral. State Assemblyman Michael J. Panter (D-Monmouth and Mercer) should be commended for his willingness to stop any and all cruel and unethical practices in New Jersey.
