Bus driver makes child feel very special

I want to acknowledge one bus driver, Robin Sanchez, of the Freehold Regional High School District's van 60. She does not drive my son to school, but she did do something extraordinary for my family.

Every morning, my 3-year-old son waits for his bus at our house on Stillwells Corner Road. While we wait, he waves to every bus that goes by.

Now there are many "regulars" who wave, and a few even beep "hello." Thank you to all of those drivers.

But Robin Sanchez surprised us by sending a card to our house, telling us how much she appreciates "the little boy who waves to the buses." She even included a gift card to Applegate Farms ice cream.

This act of kindness truly makes her a special person. I was so touched by her words, I thought everyone should hear about it. Thank you, Robin.
