      Local publishing house sponsoring story contest
           Darker Intentions Press, a small publishing house in Freehold, is sponsoring a short story contest. There is no entrance fee. The theme is "A Mystery to Die For?" and the rules are posted at www.darkerintentionspress.com.

      Golf outing to benefit agency for troubled teens
           Valencia Imports, Marlboro, will host its 10th annual "Golf Fore Kids Classic" May 22 at Eagle Oaks Golf Club, Farmingdale. Proceeds will benefit IEP Youth Services Inc., a private nonprofit social service agency that provides residential, social and psychological services to troubled teens.

           FREEHOLD - Joseph McHugh, 60, of Bayonne, was sentenced on April 28 to five years' probation by state Superior Court Judge Bette E. Uhrmacher for the sexual abuse of a boy approximately 10 years ago.
