Kristin Scicutella, daughter of Helen and Jim Scicutella of Marlboro, was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at West Chester (Pa.) University for her freshman year. She is now a sophomore at Rowan University, Glassboro.
Krista-Alana Travis, daughter of Bridgette Travis of Manalapan, earned dean’s list honors for the 2004-05 academic year at Marymount Manhattan College, New York City. She also attended an international study program in anthropology at the University of Hawaii, Oahu. She is a 2003 graduate of St. John Vianney High School, Holmdel.
Jessica N. Kreiss of Manalapan was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Babson College, Wellesley, Mass. Michael A. LaMantia, son of Dr. and Mrs. Anthony LaMantia of Freehold Township, received his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Yeshiva University. Dr. LaMantia is a 1994 graduate of the Lawrenceville School, Lawrenceville, and received his bachelor of science degree in chemistry and biology as well as his bachelor of arts degree in French from Duke University, Durham, N.C. Before entering medical school, he taught chemistry at the Groton School in Groton, Mass., and the Hill School in Pottstown, Pa. He is a resident in internal medicine at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
Janine L. LaMantia of Freehold Township received her master of education degree with specialization in English as a second language from The College of New Jersey, in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. She completed half of her studies in Mallorca through the college’s Graduate Global Programs and the other half on the Ewing campus.
Lonnie Kaplan of Manalapan was inducted into the Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society. He is a sophomore majoring in biology at Binghamton University, State University of New York. He is a 2004 graduate of Manal-apan High School.
Christina E. Behrend, of English-town, has been cited for outstanding academic achievement in the engineering sciences during the summer term at Dartmouth College, Hanover, N.H. She is the daughter of Karl A. Behrend.
Valerie Pachter, daughter of Lori and Michael Pachter of Manalapan, was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Rutgers College, Rutgers University, New Brunswick. She is a 2002 graduate of Manalapan High School.
Brian Lipnicky of Manalapan was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Cook College, Rutgers Uni-versity, New Brunswick.
Rachel L. Weiner, daughter of Bonnie and Alan Weiner of Marlboro, was awarded the Lura Bradfield Schol-arship. She was honored in October at the Ninth Annual Lecture and Awards Presentation of the Lura Bradfield Foundation. A 2001 graduate of Marlboro High School, she is pursuing a juris doctor degree at the Washington College of Law, Washington, D.C.
Lauren N. Incorvaia, daughter of Elaine and John Incorvaia of Manal-apan, has been named a Marshall Scholar at Franklin and Marshall Col-lege, Lancaster, Pa. She is a 2005 graduate of St. John Vianney High School, Holmdel.
Rider University, Lawrenceville, announced that two Monmouth County residents are among the 53 Rider students recently honored as Andrew J. Rider Scholars. Andrew J. Rider Schol-ars are in the top 1 percent of their class in each of Rider’s five academic units. Nadine Pfeifer of Freehold is an actuarial science major at the College of Business Administration. Jennifer M. Augello of Marlboro is a senior psychology major at the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
Michael J. Nassberg of Freehold has been inducted into Phi Beta Kappa honorary society. He is enrolled at Binghamton University, State Univer-sity of New York.
