      • Car seat safety checks will be conducted by New Jersey State Police, Sept. 29, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Babies “R” Us, 17 Route 9 south, Manalapan. There is no charge.       • “First Thursday Tours” of Collier Services’ historic campus and its programs will be held Oct. 6 at 9 a.m., Nov. 3 at 9:30 a.m., and Dec. 1 at 10 a.m., at 160 Conover Road, Wickatunk section of Marlboro. The 260-acre campus is the former summer estate of the Collier Publishing family and now is the home of Collier High School, Kateri Environ-mental Center, Kateri Day Camp and Project Eco.
