     Guest Column The NJ Transit 2025 ridership estimate for the proposed Lakehurst to Newark via Monmouth Junction rail line is 9,000 daily trips. That number is twice the total commuter trips between the Lakehurst-Freehold area and Manhattan (and Newark) recorded in the 2000 census.
