     Trained volunteers from AARP will offer help on tax preparation at the Monmouth County Library, 125 Symmes Drive, Manalapan, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays, 6-8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, and 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturdays, through April 15. For details, call (732) 431-7222.

     The CentraState Healthcare Foundation is now accepting applications for the 2005 Health Professions Scholarship. In total, five $500 scholarships will be awarded to five graduating high school students who have chosen to pursue a career in a health profession.

     HUGS (Help Us Grieve Someone) is a free, confidential, nondenominational bereavement support group for adults. The group meets at Old Tennent Presbyterian Church, Tennent Road, Manalapan, twice a month on Mondays at 7:30 p.m. The loss can be recent or from years gone by.
