      Obituaries

      Evelyn H. Wagner

      Mrs. Wagner, 90, of Freehold, died Jan. 25 at home. Born in Newark, she had resided in the Adelphia section of Howell before moving to Freehold. Prior to retiring in 1979, she was a seamstress for various coat factories. She was a member of the International Ladies’ Garment Workers’ Union Local 130, as well as a communicant of Bethesda United Methodist Church, Adelphia, and a 50-year member of Order of the Eastern Star, Molly Pitcher Chapter No. 198, Freehold. Mrs. Wagner was predeceased in 1971 by her husband, Reuben H. Wagner. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Boyd “Buzzy” and Lynn Wagner; two granddaughters and their husbands, Dawne and Paul Estenes, and Lynn and Stephen Kerrigan; three great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. Funeral services were held at Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold Township. Order of the Eastern Star services were also held. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.

      Jessie Norman

      Mrs. Norman, 82, of Freehold Township, died Jan. 28. Born in Mansfield, England, she had resided in Howell for more than 50 years before moving to Freehold Township. She was a life member of the Freehold Elks (Lodge 1454) Women’s Auxiliary. Mrs. Norman was predeceased in 1993 by her husband, Hans M. Norman. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Vincent and Mary Lou Norman of Freehold Township; a daughter, Jeanne Norman of Jackson; a sister in England; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A graveside service was held at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arnytown. Freeman Funeral Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Greater New Jersey Chapter, 400 Morris Ave., Suite 251, Denville 07834.

      Coleen M. Fitzpatrick

      Ms. Fitzpatrick, 49, of North Middletown, died Jan. 30 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Jersey City, she resided in Hazlet before moving to North Middletown 15 years ago. Ms. Fitzpatrick was an inventory consultant at Cooperative Inventory Inc., Verona. She was predeceased by her father, George Christopher. She is survived by her mother, Mary McGuinness Christopher of Howell; a daughter, Lindsay Fitzpatrick of Winfield, W. Va.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Deborah and James Elefante of Little Egg Harbor, and Leslie and Robert Burke of Howell; and three brothers and two sisters-in-law, George and Lynn Christopher, and Michael and Beth Christopher of the West Keansburg section of Hazlet, and Patrick Christopher of Hazlet. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport, followed by interment at the church cemetery. The Day Funeral Home, Keyport, was in charge of arrangements.

      Donald F. Arnold

      Mr. Arnold, 76, of East Brunswick, formerly of Metuchen, died Jan. 20 in Care One, East Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Diane Stephens Arnold; three sons, William of East Brunswick, Michael of Freehold and Chris of Princeton; a sister, Mary Louise Bater of Brockport, N.Y.; and six grandchildren. A gathering was held at Crabiel Home for Funerals, Milltown. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
