Orientation for incoming students, parents is set at two high schools The Freehold Regional High School District has announced plans for orientation programs to be held at two high schools. Freehold Township High School, Elton-Adelphia Road, Freehold Township, and Manalapan High School, Church Lane, Manalapan, will be hosting their annual orientation programs for incoming students and their parents on Jan. 29. "The orientations are set to take place in the school auditorium of each high school," said Ilse Whisner, public information coordinator for the FRHSD. The Freehold Township High School program for present eighth-graders will begin at 7 p.m. and the Manalapan High School program for present eighth-graders will begin at 6:45 p.m. Students are expected to attend the orientation program at the high school they will attend next fall. The orientation programs provide incoming students and parents with an overview of the high school district, an introduction to course offerings, a tour of the facilities and information on extracurricular activities and student services. Whisner said there will be an opportunity for students and their parents to ask questions and meet with staff members. All students attending the program must be accompanied by a parent. |
