Obituaries WALLACE R. DOBBINS, 86, of Freehold, died Aug. 10 at Geraldine L. Thompson Care Center, Wall Township. Born in Kearny, he resided in Marlboro Township prior to moving to Freehold 49 years ago. He was assistant board secretary at Freehold Regional Board of Education for 13 years, retiring in 1984. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member, elder, and Sunday school teacher at First Presbyterian Church, Freehold. He was a former member of Liberty Grange, Marlboro Township. He is survived by his wife, Althea Hendrickson Dobbins of Freehold; his son and daughter-in-law, Bruce W. and Victoria M. Dobbins of Ellicott City, Md.; three granddaughters; and one niece and nephew. A funeral service was held at First Presbyterian Church, Freehold. Interment was at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold. MARY ELIZABETH HAGAN, 80, of Freehold Township, died Aug. 12 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. Born in New York City, she resided there prior to moving to Freehold in 1995. She was a research statistician in the treasurer’s department at Exxon, N.Y.C., for 50 years, retiring in 1995. She was a communicant of St. Robert Bellarmine Roman Catholic Church, Freehold, where she was also a member of the Legion of Mary. She is survived by two nephews, Timothy P. Hagan of Arlington, Va., and Stephen W. Hagan of Orlando, W. Va. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Robert Bellarmine Roman Catholic Church, Freehold. Interment was at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. ANDREW-MARC SOLOFF, 40, of Freehold Township died Aug. 13 at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he had lived in Manalapan for 24 years before moving to Freehold Township four years ago. Mr. Soloff was a research scientist. Surviving are his parents, Howard and Sunny Soloff of Boca Raton, Fla.; a sister, Cheryl Soloff of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; and an uncle, Mark Soloff of West Milford. Interment was private. LESLIE FILEPP, 87, of Colts Neck died Aug. 14 at home. Born in Romania, he had lived in New York City before moving to Colts Neck more than 60 years ago. Mr. Filepp was a professional mechanical engineer for Koppers, Baltimore, for 10 years before retiring in 1983. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was part of the postwar occupation force in Japan. He was a graduate of Stuyvesant High School, New York City, and attended City College of New York and Seton Hall University, South Orange. He was a senior member of the American Society of Professional Engineers. He was a former member of the Colts Neck Board of Education, where he served as president. Mr. Filepp is survived by his wife, Rosa Rutson Filepp; and two sons, Victor Filepp of Gales Ferry, Conn., and Ronald Filepp of Roosevelt. Funeral services were private.
