JOSEPH ARBACZAWSKI, 56, of Missoula, Mont., died April 9 at home. He was a graduate of Freehold High School, attended Trenton State College, and graduated from Indiana University. He worked as a microbiologist for the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Atlanta. He founded Robarb Inc., a swimming pool and spa chemical corporation based in Atlanta. He was the inventor of Crystal Clear, a water clarifier for swimming pools. In 1992, he sold the company that had grown to producing and distributing 40 products worldwide. He was predeceased by his parents, Jeanette and Joseph Arbaczawski. Surviving are a brother, Ronald Arbaczawski of Freehold, a daughter, Laura Arbaczawski of Kansas City, Mo., and a grandson.

JEAN DOOLING MINNICK, 73, of Middletown died April 9 at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, New York City. Born in Sayreville, she resided in South Amboy before moving to Middletown 20 years ago. Mrs. Minnick was a member of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank, and a former member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, South Amboy. She was predeceased by a brother, John Dooling, in 1973. She is survived by her husband, Frank J. Minnick of Middletown; three sons, Frank Minnick of Shrewsbury, John Minnick of Middletown, and Thomas Minnick of Howell; a daughter, Kathy Fowler of Shrewsbury; and nine grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, South Amboy, followed by interment in the parish cemetery.

VIRGINIA McKENNA, 84, of Tinton Falls died April 10 at Blythe House, Tinton Falls. Born in Union City, she resided in Hoboken, Matawan, and in Keyport for 20 years before moving to Tinton Falls. She was a retired dining room hostess at Ye Cottage Inn, Keyport, and Buttonwood Manor, Matawan. Prior to that, she worked for the Federal Reserve Bank and First National City Bank, New York City. She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur McKenna, in 1968, and a brother, Francis McBride. She is survived by her son, Ronald McKenna of Farmington, Conn.; her daughter, Susan Mack of the Morganville section of Marlboro; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. Burial was at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport. CATHERINE POLVERINO, 74, of Freehold died April 11 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Matawan, she lived in Freehold all her life. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church in Freehold. She is survived by a brother, Samuel Polverino of Freehold; two sisters, Susan Giglio and Mary DeLucia, both of Freehold; and several nieces and nephews. Interment was in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township.

SOLOMON M. GROVER, 88, of Freehold Township died April 12 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Poland, he immigrated to the United States in 1927 and became a citizen in 1936. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He was a teacher at Cass Technical High School in Newark until 1941. He was employed by Sun Tube, a subsidiary of Bristol-Myers Squibb, until 1950, and then worked for Knobby Suit Co. until 1953. He and his wife, Frances, were owners of Grover’s Supermarket in Tinton Falls until 1987, when he retired to Toms River. He was a Tinton Falls town councilman for one term. He was a resident of Applewood Estates in Freehold since 2000. He was predeceased by his wife, Frances, in 2002. He is survived by three daughters, Louise Lippe, Rozalyn Janowski and Nancy G. Sopin; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Interment was in Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge. DIMITRY "KUZI" ZALAMOW, 84, of Howell died April 12 at Bartley Healthcare, Jackson. He was born in Russia and came to the United States, settling in Tolstoy, N.Y., before moving to Howell in 1952. He worked at the A&M Karagheusian Rug Mill, Freehold, until 1983. After that, he worked as an operator at Shuster Egg Co., Lakewood. He was a member of St. George Russian Orthodox Church and the Russian Kozak Guard, both Howell. Surviving are his wife, Anna R. Zalamow of Howell; a daughter and son-in-law, Ramey and Randy Allen of Farmingdale; and two granddaughters. Interment was in Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold Township.

ALICE A. ANDERSON, 49, of Farmingdale died April 13 at home. She was born in Neptune and lived in Howell before moving to Farmingdale in 1989. She worked as a tax clerk for 14 years in Howell. Surviving are her husband of 22 years, Donald Wilkens of Farmingdale; two daughters, Angela Maertens of Pine Hill and Cheryl Wilkens of Farmingdale; her mother, Beatrice Hurley; a brother, Albert Hurley of Howell; and three grandchildren. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery, Farmingdale.

JOHN KORBA, 74, of Freehold Township died April 13 at Bartley Healthcare, Jackson. Born in Cokeburg, Pa., he lived in Old Bridge and Laguna Hills, Calif., before moving to Freehold in 1998. He was an office manager at Irwin Builders Inc. in Costa Mesa, Calif., retiring in 1998. He attended the University of Pittsburgh (Pa.) where he studied business and language. He was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Orthodox Church, Freehold Township. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Eleanor Macosko Korba; a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Marilyn of Freehold Township; a daughter and son-in-law, Monica and Steve Irwin of Prescott, Ariz.; two sisters, Lillian D’Vorchak of Bentleyville, Pa., and Jeanette Vogel of Van Nuys, Calif; and four grandchildren. Services were held at St. Paul the Apostle Orthodox Church, followed by interment in Old Tennent Cemetery, Manalapan. JEAN DECICCO LEVINE, 62, of Freehold Township died April 13 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was born in Bergenfield and lived in Camden before moving to Freehold Township 35 years ago. She was a registered nurse and a graduate of the Ann May School of Nursing, Neptune, and Monmouth University, West Long Branch. She was a psy­chiatric head nurse at Marlboro Psychiatric Hospital; a medical-surgical nurse at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune; an intensive care unit nurse at Cooper Medical Center, Camden; a nursing home supervisor in Cherry Hill; an office nurse for her husband, Dr. John DeCicco, Freehold; and owned Country Tutor Nursery School, Freehold Township, retiring from that business in 1976. She was a former member of the board of trustees and the Physi­cians’ Wives Auxiliary of CentraState Medical Center. She was an executive assistant and chairwoman of the annual gala for the Freehold YMCA, and was an 18-year member of the board of trustees of the YMCA of Western Monmouth County, where she served on and chaired many committees. She was chair of the Ann May School of Nursing alumni scholarship committee, and a member of several commit­tees for that organization. She was a former member of the Freehold Township Drug and Substance Abuse Committee and former co-chair of the Freehold Township Republican Election Committee. She was a canal tender at the Delaware Canal, Pennsylvania, a commis­sioner of the Lake Topanemus Commission, and served on the Monmouth County Environ­mental Council. She was a member of many historical and conservation societies in the re­gion. She was awarded the YMCA of Western Monmouth County’s Distinguished Service Award in 1972, the association’s fund-raising award in 1978, and a 10-year recognition award from CentraState Medical Center. Her first hus­band, Dr. John P. DeCicco, died in 1985. Surviv­ing are her husband, Ronald M. Levine; and a son, Brian DeCicco, Los Altos, Calif. JOHN M. DEFUSCO JR., 70, of Howell died April 15 at home. He was born in Jersey City and lived there before moving to Howell in 1961. He was a machine operator at Kimberly-Clark, Peter J. Schweitzer Plant, Spotswood, retiring in 1988. He and his wife were founding members of the Church of the Master, United Methodist Church, Howell. He was predeceased by his wife, Kay, in 1991. Surviving are three sons, Edmund DeFusco of North Manchester, Ind., Stephen DeFusco of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Philip DeFusco of Howell; three daughters, Victoria DeFusco of Warsaw, Ind., Valerie DeHoff of Worthington, Iowa, and Lydia Graf of Jackson; his mother, Amelia DeFusco of Jackson; two brothers, Ronald DeFusco of California and Robert DeFusco of Florida; a sister, Rita Spez­zano of Staten Island, N.Y.; 18 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services were held at Church of the Master, United Methodist Church, Howell, followed by interment in Locust Grove Cemetery, Quakertown
