      JOSEPH R. "J.R." CHEHANSKE, 46, of Colts Neck died March 20 in Eggolsheim, Germany. Born in Neptune, he lived in Freehold before moving to Colts Neck four years ago. He worked as a systems administrator for AT&T, Middletown, for 10 years. He was a member of the Jersey Shore Bottle Club, Belmar. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Chehanske. Surviving is his wife of 19 years, Catherine Adams Chehanske; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Elizabeth Hoagland of Freehold, and Janet and Dean Barringer of Toms River; and several nieces and nephews. Interment was in Adelphia Cemetery, Adelphia. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, New Jersey Memorial Processing Center, P.O. Box 31160, Hartford, CT 06150-1160.

      JAMES P. DENTON, 76, formerly of Marlboro died March 27 at Martha Jefferson Hospital, Charlottesville, Va. Born in Memphis, Tenn., he lived in New York City and in Sayreville before moving to Marlboro. He moved to Charlottesville in 1980. He was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps, serving in World War II. He was a member of the Dock Builders Local No. 1456 and a retired employee of New York City. In Marlboro he was a scoutmaster for years, a member and officer of the Marlboro American Legion, member and chairman of the Marlboro Industrial Committee and active in the Marlboro Democratic Club. He was also a member of the Monmouth County Election Board. In Charlottesville he was active with the Charlottesville Senior Center, a senior investment club, a computer club, and the Charlottesville Elks Club No. 389. He was predeceased by a brother, David Byron Denton. He is survived by his wife, Mary Evelyn Thomas Denton; three sons, James Thomas Denton, George Byron Denton and Blake Oren Denton; six grandchildren; one niece and one nephew. Memorial donations may be made to the Charlottesville Rescue Squad.

      EDITH WAGNES, 84, of Freehold died March 27 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and lived there before moving to Freehold three years ago She was predeceased by her husband, Roy Wagnes, in 1967. Surviving are a son, John R. Wagnes of Bradley Beach; a daughter, Mary Romano of Brooklyn; a sister, Alba Pace of Jackson; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was held at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold, followed by interment in Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn.

      VELMA WEISMAN, 79, of Freehold died March 27 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was born in Newark and lived there before moving to Freehold 38 years ago. She was member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Shrewsbury chapter. She was predeceased by a brother, Harry Douglas Sr. She is survived by her husband, Monroe Weisman; a son, Martin M. Weisman of Freehold and friend, Janet Fitzgerald; two stepsons and stepdaughters-in-law, Theodore and Lynn Weisman of Egg Harbor, and Daniel and Dea Weisman of Staten Island, N.Y.; a sister-in-law, Beverly Douglas; two nephews; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Interment was in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.

      ARLETTA B. CROMER, 93, of Freehold Township died March 28 at The Manor, Freehold Township. Born in Altoona, Pa., she lived in Monmouth County and Willamsburg, Pa., before returning to Freehold Township seven years ago. She was an assembly worker at Laird’s Applejack, Colts Neck, for 20 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles E. Cromer, in 1966. Surviving are two sons, Charles L. and Gerald D., both of Freehold Township; a brother, Vincent C. Weld of Rossiter, Pa.; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Interment was in Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls.

      ORLANDO E. ANDREONI, 63, of Freehold Township died March 29 at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Old Forge, Pa. He lived in Manalapan before moving to Freehold 22 years ago. He was a pilot in the Marine Corps for five years and a pilot for TWA Airlines for 31 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Orlando D. and Catherine M. Andreoni. He is survived by his wife, Carol; two daughters and sons-in-law, Angela and Andrew Steckler of Jackson and Linda and Steve Robinson of Fort Worth, Texas; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Angela of Henderson, Nev.; four granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.

      EVELYN WILSON of Freehold Township died March 29 at Avante at Red Bank Care Center, Red Bank. Born in Linden, she lived in Matawan before moving to Freehold 37 years ago. She is survived by her husband, Charles, of Freehold Township; a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Kelly Wilson of New Milford, Conn.; two sisters, Dorothy Hultfeldt of Springhill, Fla., and Mary Ann Taylor of New Jersey. Entombment was at Atlantic View Cemetery, Brielle.

      STEPHEN MOJICA, 39, of Owego, N.Y., died April 5 at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center, Binghamton, N.Y. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he resided in Aberdeen prior to moving to Owego eight years ago. Mr. Mojica was a manager in the seafood department at Giant Markets, Vestal, N.Y., for the past seven years. He was a past member of Faith Fellowship, Sayreville, and Calvary Chapel, Old Bridge. He was predeceased by his father, Louis Marshall, in 1998. He is survived by his mother, Anita Civiletti-Marshall of Aberdeen; his fiancee, Susan Graves of Owega; his daughter and son, Stephenie and Christopher MacDonald, at home; two brothers, Christopher Mojica of Philadelphia and Daniel Mojica of Howell; and two sisters, Leslie Mojica of Aberdeen and Dina Marshall of Avon. Interment was at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.

      ISAAC DAWES, 93, of Freehold Township died April 1 at Applewood Health Care Center, Freehold Township. He lived in Upper Freehold Township his entire life before moving to Ap­plewood Estates 11 years ago. He was a grad­uate of the Rider Business School. He worked for the I.S. Dawes and Son Vinegar Co., founded by his grandfather in Freehold Town­ship and a family business for three generations before closing in the 1950s. He then worked for the state of New Jersey in the highway depart­ment before his retirement. He was a member of the Allentown Presbyterian Church for more than 80 years, where he served as an elder. He was a member of the Upper Freehold Township Board of Elections for many years. He was pre­deceased by his wife, Margaret J. Dawes, in 1998. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John I. and Donna Dawes of Freehold Township; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Interment was in Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent. Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 118 West Main St., Freehold 07728.

      MARY ZARZYSKI KRAMAROFF, 82, of Freehold died April 1 at Bartley Manor, Jackson. Born in Iselin, she had lived in Freehold for the past 62 years. She was a waitress at the former Paradise Restaurant, Freehold, and at the Freehold Raceway. She and her husband operated a concession stand at the Freehold Pond. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold, and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4272, Freehold. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Zarzyski, in 1967. She is survived by a son, John Zarzyski, Brick; two daughters and a son-in-law, Diana and Robert Morris of Howell, and Elaine Zarr Zarzyski of Freehold; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Myrtle Marko of Metuchen, and Samuel and Mary Doktor of Plainfield; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Sophie and Cy Szwed of Port Reading, Vera Fedorke of Fords, and Anne Doctor of Metuchen; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was held at St. Rose of Lima Church, followed by interment in Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold Township.

      LOUISE LEBRIGHT, 100, of Manalapan died April 1 at The Manor, Freehold Township. Born in Queens, N.Y., she lived in Maspeth, Long Island, N.Y., before moving to Manalapan eight years ago. She was predeceased by her husband, George, in 1973. She is survived by a son, George Jr. of Boynton Beach, Fla.; a daughter, Mary L. Kura of Manalapan; four granddaughters; and eight great-grandchildren. Interment was in Pinelawn Cemetery, Pinelawn, Long Island, N.Y.
