"BETTY" RITTER PERCHALSKI, 84, of Brick, died Oct. 26 at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. Mrs. Perchalski was a clerk at the Monmouth County Hall of Records, Freehold, for 20 years, retiring in 1967. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Freehold. Born in New York City, she lived in Freehold before moving to Brick 10 years ago. Mrs. Perchalski was predeceased by her husband, Edward, in 1997; and a son-in-law, Richard LaRocco. Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Betty Lou LaRocco of Ontario, Canada, and Mary Laura and Daniel Schanck of Neptune; two brothers, Chub Ritter of Cranbury and Arthur Ritter of Florida; two sisters, Florence Dey of South Carolina and Margaret Ronco of Trenton; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Colonial Funeral Home, Brick, is in charge of arrangements. A memorial service will be held at a later date. SHARON D. HAMMOND MACRE, 51, of Freehold, died Nov. 6 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Jersey City, she had lived in Plainfield before moving to Freehold 17 years ago. Mrs. Macre was a preschool teacher for Sunshine Schoolhouse, Freehold. Before that, she was a director of Rolling Hills Day Camp, Marlboro, for six years. Mrs. Macre is survived by her husband of 30 years, William; a son, Brian, and a daughter, Lauren, both at home; her mother, Jennie Pedalino Hammond of Old Bridge; a brother, John Hammond of Union; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Brenda and Ron Cantor of West Windsor; Gail Drysdale of Helmetta, Valerie and Kevin Nugent of Spotswood, and Cindy and Robert Markus of East Windsor; her mother-in-law, Lucille Macre of Old Bridge; a sister-in-law, Donna Macre of Connecticut; three nieces and two nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Stephen Protomartyr Roman Catholic Church, South River, followed by interment in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to any cancer research fund. ROSE PALAZZOLO, 76, of Manalapan, died Nov. 6 at Liberty Manor, Englishtown. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she had lived in Ozone Park, N.Y., and Howell before moving to Englishtown two years ago. Mrs. Palazzolo was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church, Englishtown. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank, in 2000. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Frank and Grace of Manalapan, and Joseph and Frances of Staten Island, N.Y.; and five grandchildren. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Church, followed by interment in Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arnytown. ANN THERESA McNAMARA, 79, of Manalapan, died Nov. 7 at Jersey Shore Center, Eatontown. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she moved to Manalapan in 1967. She was a communicant of St. Gabriel’s Roman Catholic Church, Marlboro, and a member of the church’s Altar Rosary Society. Mrs. McNamara is survived by her husband, Martin; a son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Karen of Hopatcong; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Jimmy Lewis of Howell, and Eileen and Dennis D’Andrea of Brick; five grandchildren and three nieces. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Gabriel’s Church, followed by entombment at St. Gabriel’s Mausoleum, Marlboro. SCHLECHTWEG SR., 63, of Freehold Township died Nov. 8 at Fox Chase Cancer Center, Philadelphia. Born in Neptune, he was a lifelong resident of Freehold Township. Mr. Schlechtweg was an operator of concrete mixer trucks for Clayton Concrete, Freehold, from 1973 to 1987. Before that, he was a farmer at Crest Fruit Farm, a family-owned and operated farm in Manalapan. He was a member of Monmouth Grange No. 92, Freehold Township. Mr. Schlechtweg is survived by his wife, Marie Borden Schlechtweg; two sons, Alfred W. Jr. of Manalapan and Karl of Howell; a daughter, Robin McDonald of Jackson; a brother, William A. Jr. of Jackson; two sisters, Pauline Robinson of Aledo, Ill., and Jean Wright of Point Pleasant; and two grandchildren. Interment took place at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent section of Manalapan. Memorial donations may be made to Fox Chase Cancer Center, 7701 Burholme Ave., Philadelphia, 19111. MICHAEL JOSEPH SAN ANDRES, 18, of Freehold, died Nov. 9 at Helene Fuld Hospital, Trenton. He was born in Secaucus. He was a 2002 graduate of Freehold Borough High School, and a freshman at Rider University, Lawrenceville. His activities included cooking, fishing, swimming and spending time with his family. He was also an avid car fan and member of the Car Club of Freehold. He is survived by his parents and a brother, Richard and Karen Wilkas San Andres and Gregory San Andres, all of Freehold; and his maternal grandmother, Marian Wilkas, and paternal grandmother, Mildred San Andres, both of Jersey City. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold. Interment was at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold. MAKRAM E. HAROUN, 69, of Marlboro, died Nov. 11 at Riverside Community Hospital, Riverside, Calif. Born in Egypt, Mr. Haroun had lived in Old Bridge for 24 years before moving to Marlboro six months ago. He was a laboratory director at Staten Island University Hospital, Staten Island, N.Y., for four years. He was a member of St. Mary’s Coptic Orthodox Church, East Brunswick. Mr. Haroun is survived by his wife of 45 years, Samira Sami Haroun; a son, Michael Haroun of the Morganville section of Marlboro; three daughters and sons-in-law, Lillian and John Zargo of Old Bridge; Manal and Magdy Meleka of East Brunswick, and Clair and Pat Magliozzi of Doylestown, Pa.; several brothers and sisters; and 11 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at St. Mary’s Coptic Orthodox Church, followed by entombment in Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick. VIRGE A. LAMPINEN, 46, of the Morganville section of Marlboro, died Nov. 11 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in New York City, she resided in Morganville most of her life. She was a customer service coordinator at H&H Swiss, Hillsborough, the past seven years. She was a parishioner of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Old Bridge. She was a past member of Philamusica in the Brunswick area, and the Astonian University Women’s Sorority. She was predeceased by her father, Jaakko A. Lampinen in 2000. She is survived by her mother, Ilona Lampinen of Morganville; her brother and sister-in-law, Madis and Naomi Lampinen of Glenrock, Pa.; and two nieces.
