      TANYA B. PERONE, 70, of Middletown died June 15 at home. Born in New York City, she lived in Hazlet 37 years and moved to Middletown two years ago. She was predeceased by a son, Raymond Perone; and a daughter, Lisa Johnson. She is survived by her husband, Raymond J. Perone of Middletown; two sons, Christopher Perone of Metuchen, and Dana Perone of Colonia; three daughters and one son-in-law, Cathy Perone of Woodbridge, Lori and Keith Knowles of Howell, and Lynn Mancini of Keansburg; her sister-in-law, Jean Perone of New York City; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be June 19 at 10:30 a.m. at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. Entombment will follow at Holmdel Mausoleum.

      ROSE McNULTY, 62, of Manalapan died May 27 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in St. Johnsbury, Vt., she had lived in Methuen, Mass., before moving to Manalapan 31 years ago. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church, Englishtown. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard, in 1983. Surviving are four sons and two daughters-in-law, Peter J. and Colleen of Englishtown, Michael J. of Avon, Sean P. of Manalapan, and Timothy J. and Linda of Manalapan; two daughters and sons-in-law, Coleen L. and Richard Robinson of Howell, and Kelly E. and Jim Dulovitz of Manalapan; a sister, Rita Janulewicz of Lawrence, Mass.; and seven grandchildren. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Church, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 801 Broad St., Shrewsbury 07702.

      JEANETTE ZEFF, 74, of Freehold, died May 31 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in The Bronx, N.Y., she had lived in New York City for 10 years before moving to Freehold 11 years ago. Mrs. Zeff was predeceased by her husband, Leon, who died in 2001. She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara and Frank Engel of Freehold, and Lynn Zeff of Freehold; and six grandchildren. Interment took place at Floral Park Cemetery, Deans section of South Brunswick.

      IRVIN DAVIS, 84, of Freehold died May 6 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Hardaway, Ala., he had been a resident of Freehold since 1944. He was a construction laborer for Local No. 176, New Brunswick. He is survived by a sister, Orphenia Fitzpatrick of Englishtown; an uncle, John Adair of the Perrineville section of Millstone; and several nieces and nephews.

      VIVIAN S. RUSSELL, 94, of Point Pleasant, formerly of Farmingdale, died May 7 at Clairemont Care Center, Point Pleasant. Born in Freehold, she lived in Farmingdale before moving to Bricktown in 1976. Mrs. Russell was a telephone operator for New Jersey Bell, Freehold, for more than 20 years, retiring in 1965. She was a former member of the Farmingdale Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She was a member of the Forthnightly Club, the Telephone Pioneers of America, and the Red Bank-Freehold LM Club. Mrs. Russell was predeceased by her husband, Frederick G. Jr., who died in 1977; and a son, Frederick G. III, in 2000. She is survived by a son, Ronald W. of Bedford, Va.; a sister, Marguarite Carr of Fair Lawn; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held at Evergreen Cemetery, Farmingdale, with the Rev. Dawn Stoker officiating.

      CARMELA J. FRADELLA, 85, of Holmdel died June 10 at Bayshore Health Care Center, Holmdel. Born in New York City, she resided there until moving to Holmdel seven years ago. She was a homemaker and enjoyed time with her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Salvatore E. Fradella in 1984. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Anthony and Diana Fradella of Morganville, and Charles and Laura Fradella of Manhasset, N.Y.; and four grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Benedict’s Roman Catholic Church, Holmdel. Entombment was at St. John’s Mausoleum, Queens, N.Y.

      WILLIAM C. KOEHLER JR., 76, of Keyport died June 10 at Holmdel Convalescent Center. Born in Belleville, he lived in the West Keansburg area of Hazlet prior to moving to Keyport in 1990. He was an engineer and draftsman at Earle Naval Weapons Station, Colts Neck, for 25 years, retiring in 1990. He was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was the commanding officer of the New Jersey Naval Brigade, 8th Battalion, Keyport. His volunteer activities included the Rainbow Foundation, Middletown; and the Monmouth Center for Vocational Rehabilitation. He was also an assistant Scoutmaster for the special needs Boy Scout Troop 230, Keyport, and received the Silver Beaver Award for Distinguished Service from the Boy Scouts of America. He was predeceased by his wife, Roberta Saggau in 1989. He is survived by his son, Adrian Willett of Manalapan; two daughters, Virginia Swift of Keansburg, and Louise Stoddard of Kingsley, Pa.; his sister, Doris Naumann of West Palm Beach, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. Interment was at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.

      PATRICIA B. DANTZLER, 87, of Freehold died June 11 at home. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., she lived in Huntington Bay, N.Y., before moving to Freehold 25 years ago. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold. She was an honorary member of the Huntington Yacht Club, Huntington, N.H. She was predeceased by her husband, Capt. Andrew Govan Dantzler, in 1954. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Andrew G. and Elaine Dantzler of Fremont Center, N.Y., and Bruce B. and Pamela Dantzler of Huntington Station, N.Y.; four daughters and sons-in-law, Salley and Robert Gibney of Dorset, Vt., Patricia Belle and Stephen Calcagni of Washington Depot, Conn., Andrea and Thomas Adams, with whom she lived, and Denise and James Harwood of Barrington, Ill.; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, followed by interment at St. Charles Cemetery, Pinelawn, N.Y.

      PAULINE LIEBOWITZ, 83, of Watchung, died June 13 at Overlook Hospital, Summit. Born in New York City, she had lived in Brooklyn, N.Y., before moving to Jackson in 1959. She moved to Watchung last year. She and her husband owned Axel’s Homemade Candy Store in Lakewood for seven years. She served as a Democratic committeewoman in Ocean County for more than 20 years. She served on Jackson’s Planning Board, the Welfare Board and Ocean Inc., a community action program. She was a Girl Scout for 70 years, served on the Ocean County Council of Girl Scouts, and was honored with a 25-year leader pin. She was a member of the board of the Toms River chapter of Na’Amat, an organization that supports women and children in Israel with child care and vocational training, for more than 20 years. She is survived by her husband, Samuel; three daughters, Adele Calo and her husband, Seraphin, of Cortland, N.Y., Elaine Margaretta and her husband, John, of Freehold, and Ronnie Liebowitz and her husband, Robert Raymar, of Watchung; two sisters, Florence Bloom of Las Vegas and Gloria Krumholz of Wisconsin; five grandchildren; two nieces; five nephews; and several cousins. Graveside services were held at Floral Park Cemetery, Monmouth Junction, with Rabbi Joel Abraham officiating.

      LILLIAN SHNEK, 80, of Freehold died June 13 at home. Born in Manhattan, N.Y., she had been a longtime resident of Freehold. She worked as a seamstress at the Shnek Coat Factory for many years. Graveside services were held at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold Township.

      MICHAEL L. CHIERCHIA, 18, of Manalapan, died June 2 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he lived there most of his life prior to moving to Manalapan two years ago. He is survived by his mother and father, Sandra and Louis Chierchia of Manalapan; two brothers, Daniel and Gregory Chierchia, both of Manalapan; and his maternal grandmother, Angela Borruso of Brooklyn, N.Y. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Millstone Township. Entombment was at St. Gabriel’s Mausoleum, Marlboro.

      WILBUR M. CUNNINGHAM, 84, of the Tennent section of Manalapan died June 2 at The Manor, Freehold Township. Born in Manalapan, he had been a resident of the Tennent section since 1948. He was certified by the Department of Civil Service and appointed to the position of foreman, plumber and steamfitter at Marlboro Psychiatric Hospital, Marlboro, where he was employed before his retirement in 1979. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he served in the 3rd Armored "Spearhead" Division in the European theater and saw action along the front lines. He was honorably discharged as a technical sergeant. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary E., in 1997. He is survived by a sister-in-law, Ruth Cunningham of Freehold; three nephews and three nieces. Funeral services were held at Old Tennent Presbyterian Church, Tennent, followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery.

      ELEANOR VERNA SKIBINSKI, 77, of Manalapan died June 3 at home. Born in Corning, N.Y., she lived in Scranton, Pa., and in Somerset for 19 years before moving to Manalapan six years ago. She worked for the Board of Education in Piscataway for more than 20 years, retiring in 1987. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Cyd and Richard Everett, with whom she lived; and three grandchildren. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, Manalapan, followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway.

      LOUIS S. D’ORLANDO, 80, of Manchester, died June 4 at the Medical Center of Ocean County, Brick Hospital Division, Brick. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he moved to Dunedin, Fla., in 1987, and to Manchester two years ago. Mr. D’Orlando was a machine operator for more than 30 years at the Knight Slipper Corp., Brooklyn, which later became the Three Star Slipper Co. He retired in 1987. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in northern France, where he received the Purple Heart medal. He was a 56-year member of the American Legion Post No. 166, Toms River. He attended St. John Roman Catholic Church, Lakehurst. Mr. D’Orlando is survived by his wife of 58 years, Evelyn; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Diane of Freehold Township; a daughter and son-in-law, Esther and Nicholas Coppola of Effort, Pa.; three sisters, Antoinette D’Alessandro of Staten Island, N.Y., Theresa Nardo of Brooklyn and Carmella Ciccone of Jackson; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Robert Bellarmine Roman Catholic Church, Freehold Township, followed by entombment at St. Mary of the Lake Mausoleum, Lakewood.

      BARBARA K. BUTASH, 56, of Manalapan, died June 6 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Scranton, Pa., she lived in Brooklyn, N.Y., before moving to Manalapan 30 years ago. She was a communicant of St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, Manalapan. She is survived by her husband, Stephen; a son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Andrea of Aberdeen; a daughter, Anisa Butash of Tinton Falls; and a twin brother, E. John Fedor of York, Pa. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Thomas More Church, followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent section of Manalapan.       JANE M. CARNEY, 81, of Freehold died June 6 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Cohoes, N.Y., she lived in Freehold for many years. She was the first nurse at the Arthur Brisbane Child Treatment Center, Allaire; an instructor at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Baltimore; an associate professor at Bakersfield College, California; an associate dean at the University of Nebraska College of Nursing; and a consultant to baccalaureate and other higher degree programs for the National League for Nursing, New York City. She was a graduate of the St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing, Trenton; the University of Maryland, College Park; and the Teachers College of Columbia University, New York. She was a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the national honor society in nursing; the American Nurses Association; and the National League for Nursing. She served as a member of the Nebraska State Board of Nursing. She was twice named Faculty Member of the Year at the University of Nebraska College of Nursing and received the Amoco Award for Excellence in Teaching at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold, where she was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society and the Senior Citizens Club. She is survived by a brother, James. T. Carney of Freehold Township; a sister, Margaret A. Carney, at home; two nephews; and four grandnephews. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, followed by interment at the parish cemetery, Freehold Township.
