      Now is the time for Monmouth residents to diffuse bombs of hate
           Imagine that as you sleepily go out to retrieve your morning newspaper you find a small bag on your lawn. Curious, you pick it up and find that it is a sand-filled bag with a leaflet. "Harmless trash," you may think. Trash it is, but harmless it is not. It is a small "bomb of hate," meant to frighten you with its message against minorities.

      Public should know the real reason for license transfer
           Several weeks ago the registered voters of Englishtown received a letter dated April 11 and authored by Jayne Carr. The letter concerned the transfer of a liquor license from 3 Corners Bar to Peoples Pizza and asked residents for support of the transfer based on information in the letter.

      Youngsters may sign up for local karate club
           The 4-H Youth Development Program of Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Monmouth County is inviting registration of youths ages 5-16 to register for the new 4-H Karate Club. The club will be meeting at the Kum Sung Karate school, 510 New Friendship Road, Howell. Ages 5-8 will meet from 1:45-2:30 p.m., ages 9-12 from 2:30-3:15 p.m., and from 3:15-4 p.m. for ages 12-16. Classes will be taught by Jae Mundy, a six degree black belt with more than 20 years experience. Minimum class enrollment is 10, maximum is 20.
