           Rutgers University junior Val Majewski earned New Jersey Collegiate Baseball Association Player of the Week honors for the week that ended April 28. The Freehold Township High School graduate batted .438 (7-16) in four games, scoring seven times and knocking in nine runs. He was 3-5 for two RBIs in a 16-9 win over Iona, New Rochelle, N.Y. He was 3-4 with four RBIs in a 21-2 win over Pace University, New York. He had a bases-loaded triple for three RBIs in that game. In a 6-2, 7-2 doubleheader sweep of West Virginia, he had two RBIs including a two-RBI double in the nightcap.
