ANDREW CASALINO, 71, of Hazlet died March 16 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Bari, Italy, he moved to Hazlet 40 years ago. He was a caster for Woodbridge Pottery for 35 years. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. He is survived by his wife Archangela Aquavia Casalino of Hazlet; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Anna Lejeune of Howell, and Marie and Paolo Del Medico, Rosa Casalino, and Lia Fato, all of Bari, Italy; his brother-in-law, Stephen Aquavia of Hazlet; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. Interment was at St. Joseph’s Mausoleum, Keyport. JAMES A. MURRAY, 69, of Manalapan, died March 21 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Verona, he had been a resident of Manalapan for the past 35 years. He was retired from J.C.A. Associates, Cherry Hill. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a communicant of St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, Manalapan, and a volunteer for the Samaritan Center, Englishtown. He was a member of the Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh of Old Bridge. He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara, who died in 1995. Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, James and Emily of Manalapan, and Scott of Spotswood; a daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Richard Pantano of Manalapan; and four grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Thomas More Church, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. TED J. WATKINS, 82, of Manalapan, died March 24 at home. Born in Missouri City, Mo., he resided in Cranford, and Falls Church, Va., prior to moving to Manalapan in 1999. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, and his granddaughter, Pamela K. and Robert J. Seligman, and Tiffany Dawn Seligman, all of Manalapan. EDWARD F. PULLIS, 34, of Hazlet died Sept. 11 after the terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center, New York City. Born in Staten Island, he resided there until moving to Hazlet two years ago. He was a consultant for AON, New York City, for the last 3.5 years. He was predeceased by his father, Joseph A. Pullis in 1997. He is survived by his mother, Tina Pullis of Brooklyn, N.Y.; his wife, Melissa Pullis of Hazlet; two sons and one daughter, Anthony, Edward and Mariafrances Pullis, all at home; and two sisters, Josephine Krnican of Manalapan, and Anna Maria Bocchino of Middletown. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. Interment was at Holmdel Cemetery. FRANCES T. "JUDIE" BRUSH FEIGENWINTER, 79, of Spotswood, formerly of Keyport, died Feb. 24 in Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. She was employed as a manager with Genova Associates at the Marlboro Airport and as an X-ray technician and office manager for 40 years with Leonard Genova, M.D., Middletown and Red Bank. She was predeceased by her first husband, Robert Feigenwinter, and by her second husband, Richard Barlow. Surviving are a son, Robert Feigenwinter of Orford, N.H., and a daughter, Barbara J. Palazzolo of Monmouth Beach. Services were held at St. John’s United Methodist Church, Hazlet. Interment was in Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy "Pat" Lindsay, who died in 1989. Surviving are a son, Richard L. of Monroe; a daughter, Donna L. Fletcher of Marlboro; a brother, Melvin Lindsay of Baltimore; two sisters, Nina DiMartino of Freehold, and Marie Davison of California; and three grandchildren. ALEX PACYNA, 84, of Spotswood died March 28 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Irene Dower Mundy Pacyna; three sons, Patrick and Thomas, both of Spotswood, and Dennis of Manalapan; a brother, Kosty Pacyna of South Carolina; a sister, Catherine Thomas of Sayreville; and three grandchildren. WILLIAM E. SHEA, 41, of Englishtown, formerly of Old Bridge, died March 24 in CentraState Medical Center, Freehold. Surviving are his wife, Julie A. Wenzl Shea; a son, Harrison William Shea, at home; his mother, Geraldine Driscoll Shea of Old Bridge; three brothers, Robert Shea of Suffolk, Va., and Joseph Shea and James Shea, both of Old Bridge; five sisters, Denise Shea and Sharon Hirsch, both of Old Bridge, Janet Pinho and Susan Matos, both of Orlando, Fla., and Gerilyn Plunkett of Sayreville; and many nieces and nephews. "TONY" FRANCIS, 90, of Hagerstown, Md., died March 19 in Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown. Interment was in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold. ANNE M. ECKEL, 89, of Freehold died March 23 at Fountainview Care Center, Lakewood. She was born in Syracuse, N.Y. and was a lifelong area resident. She was an office manager at Monmouth OB-GYN in Red Bank for 25 years, retiring in 1982. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Evans Eckel, in 1978; and a daughter, Patricia Eckel, in 1992. Surviving are a daughter, Nancy Mullens of Freehold; and one grandson. Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery, Syracuse. HELEN LESHIN GOLDSTEIN, 76, of Hightstown, died March 31 in Meadow Lakes, Hightstown. She was born in New York City and was a Hightstown resident since 1947. She was formerly employed as a secretary for Metro Life Insurance Co. in New York City for four years. She was an active member of Beth El Synagogue; past president of Sisterhood of Beth El Synagogue, East Windsor Hadassah; a member of the Wives of Retired Officers Association; a Red Cross volunteer at Watson Air Force Hospital in Fort Dix; and a member of East Windsor Autumn Club and the Scarborough Senior Center of East Windsor. Surviving are her husband, David Goldstein; a son and daughter-in-law, Larry M. and Karen Goldstein of Howell; two daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Joseph Anghelone of Columbus, and Marion T. and Peter Mnych of East Windsor; a brother and sister-in-law, William and Rosalyn Leshin of Boca Raton, Fla.; and four grandchildren. Interment was in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Park, Arnytown. SOPHIA SKOCZYLAS, 86, of Howell died March 31 in Laurelton Village Nursing Home, Brick Township. Born in Poland, she came to the United States in 1966 and lived in Brick before moving to Howell in 1981. She was a homemaker. Her husband, John, died in 1988. Surviving are a son, Albert of Brick; a daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Michael Matulionis of Brick; and two grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Veronica’s Church, Howell. EUGENE "BUBBA" WILLIAMS, 54, of Neptune Township, died March 24 at Atlantic City Medical Center, Atlantic City. Born in Leesburg, Fla., he lived in Freehold for more than 20 years before moving to Neptune. He worked as a groom at Freehold Raceway, Freehold. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by a daughter, Regina Mason Berry; a brother, Freddie G. Williams Sr.; five sisters, Lovie Slaughter, Bernice Sesler, Luedean Henderson, Ira Jean Cobbs and Doris Worsley; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Church of God, Freehold. HILDA McDONOUGH RONCONE, 95, of Freehold, died March 26 at Applewood Estates, Freehold Township. Born in Bradford, England, she had lived in Lennox, Mass., before moving to Freehold in 1928. She was an elementary school teacher in Freehold Borough schools for 40 years. She was a graduate of North Adams Normal School, North Adams, Mass., and continued her studies at Columbia College, New York City. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold. She was predeceased by her husband, Felix W., in 1974. Surviving are two daughters, Julie Roncone Rupprecht and Candace Roncone, both of New York City; and several nieces and nephews. Interment was in Clinton, Mass. THOMAS J. BITTAR, 78, of Manalapan, died March 28 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Shade, Pa., he lived in Brooklyn, N.Y., and then in Jackson for 28 years before moving to Manalapan seven years ago. He worked as a controller for D.B. Jones, Newark, retiring in 1993, and had also been employed at Allen Packing Co., Elizabeth, and Armor Meat Co., Brooklyn, for 30 years. He worked as a self-employed accountant for many years. He graduated from Pace University, New York City, with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He was predeceased by a brother, Samuel. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Ferrara Bittar; her daughters, Linda Garcia of Manalapan, and Patricia and her husband, Michael Sullivan, of Carteret; and three grandchildren. Burial was at Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River. LINDA N. ISENEGGER, 80, of Whiting, died at Carriage House, Whiting. Born in Staten Island, N.Y., she lived in Toms River and Englishtown before moving to Whiting nine years ago. She was a homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, Clifford J., in 1997. She is survived by three sons, C. Scott of Whiting, William of Orlando, Fla., and Glenn of Atco; three daughters, Joyce Ferry of Old Bridge, Leslie Wright of North Plainfield and Susan Doughtery of Merrit Island, Fla.; a brother, Calvin Nordman of Staten Island; a sister, Edna Nordman of Freehold; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. PAULINE MOSS, 88, of Manalapan, died March 29 at home. Born in Bayonne, she had lived in Jersey City before moving to Covered Bridge in Manalapan 20 years ago. She was the owner and operator of a candy store in Jersey City for many years. She was a member of Deborah of Covered Bridge. She is survived by her husband, Harry; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Charlotte Moss of Pawling, N.Y.; a daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Larry Weitzner of Manalapan; and five grandchildren. Graveside services were held at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge. SOLOMON WEXLER, 72, of Boynton Beach, Fla., died March 29 in Boynton Beach. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he had lived in the Iselin section of Woodbridge and Manalapan before moving to Boynton Beach. Mr. Wexler was a member of the Amalgamated Lithographers of New York for 45 years. He is survived by his wife, Suellen; six sons, Steven Wexler of Bayonne, Ronald Wexler of Port Reading, Bruce Wexler of Scotch Plains, Alan Wexler of Westfield, Mitchell Turk of Ramsey, Russell Turk of Jersey City and Laurie Hauser of Branchburg; a sister, Rosalind Cohen of Brooklyn; and 12 grandchildren. Memorial services were held in Edison. |
