      ROBERT C. ROSS SR., 75, of Manalapan died Jan. 10 at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he had lived there before moving to Manalapan 34 years ago. He was employed by the New York City Department of Sanitation in Manhattan for 42 years before retiring as director of personnel in 1989. He was a U.S .Navy veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Carol; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert C. Jr. and Cindy Ross of the Belford section of Middletown; three daughters and a son-in-law, Jean Ross and Christine Ross, both of Highlands, and Barbara and Steve Kovelesky of Middletown; and two grandchildren. Interment was at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent section of Manalapan. Memorial donations may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association, 141 Bodman Place, Red Bank 07701-9978. More...
