Municipal meeting will address parents’ redistricting concerns

Manalapan Township is in the process of arranging a community-wide meeting with Freehold Regional High School District Superin-tendent of Schools James Wasser.

The purpose of the meeting will be for people to ask questions and offer remarks on the district’s tentative plan to redistrict students in 2003.

While the Township Com-mittee understands that the district does have a problem accommodating future students, we do not believe (in) and will oppose Manalapan students being sent outside the township.

This is a difficult problem and the committee is eager to work with the school district to develop alternatives to this idea.

The residents of Manalapan can be assured that the members of the Township Committee are working vigorously on their behalf on this matter.
