     With the reauthorization of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), a strong emphasis was placed on educating children with disabilities in the least restrictive environment.      The Monmouth County Human Relations Commission deplores the recent unprecedented and devastating attacks against New York City and Washington, D.C., which resulted in an incredible loss of life. $1,000 added to reward in learning center vandalism
     The Monmouth-Ocean County Council of the Jewish War Veterans of the United States of America has authorized the addition of a $1,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of all those involved in the criminal vandalism and desecration of the construction site of the new Jewish Learning Center on Pine Brook Road in Manalapan. The council represents the 11 Jewish War Veteran posts in the two counties.

Park system work on trail comes as a big surprise
     At mid-afternoon or so on Oct. 5, I happened to have noticed a white pickup truck with the emblem of the Monmouth County Park System quietly pull up to my mailbox and that of my neighbors, open and deposit something in each box. Obviously, this caught me a bit by surprise.

Parents, firemen come together for victims of tragedy
     Today, I saw the face of God. The Magic Years Nursery School parent community in Old Bridge, with coordination from the Gordons Corner Fire Co., Manalapan, and the Manalapan Township Fire Co. came together to offer assistance to those families who have been displaced by the tragedy that befell our neighbors in New York City.
