Feb. 23 luncheon will benefit Freehold Open Door
     The First Presbyterian Church of Freehold will host a Community Benefit Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Feb. 23 in the church auditorium, Main Street and Brinckerhoff Avenue. The menu will offer sandwiches and choice of salad bar or homemade soup, beverage and homemade dessert. The suggested donation is $5, and proceeds will benefit the Freehold Area Open Door food pantry. There will also be a receptacle in the auditorium for anyone who wishes to donate food or paper products to Open Door. For more information, call the church office at (732) 462-0234.

     Lauren Hartlein, a young cellist from Freehold, will be performing in the Family Concert of the Greater Princeton Youth Orchestra Feb. 18 at Richardson Auditorium at Princeton University, Princeton.

La Leche League will meet Feb. 8 in Freehold
     The Freehold Chapter of La Leche League meets at 8 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month at First United Methodist Church, 91 W. Main St., Freehold. The Feb. 8 meeting will focus on nutrition and weaning. New and expectant mothers are welcome to attend, and new mothers are invited to bring their babies.
